Je m'appelle Crystal Petit, et j'ai plusieurs passions.
Originaire d'Atlanta, j'ai suivi mon coeur et adopté Paris il y a 18 ans. Je suis chanteuse, auteur, coach vocal, voix off, actrice, et rêveuse...mais ma plus belle source d'inspiration sont mes deux petits garçons. Être maman est la plus belle chose qui me soit arrivée. Cela m'aide à garder mon dynamisme et un esprit jeune et créatif.
Les chansons de Chez Crystal sont nées lorsque j'ai commencé à donner des cours d'anglais à travers le chant dans le cadre du programme scolaire de l'école (française) où se trouvent mes enfants. Ce sont des chansons simples contenant toutefois des mélodies et des harmonies recherchées.
J'ai trouvé intéressant le fait d'incorporer des mots en français dans ces chansons afin de donner quelques repères aux enfants qui n'auraient jamais été exposés à la langue anglaise auparavant.

I left Atlanta for Paris in 2000. I am a multi-passionate artist : singer, songwriter, vocal coach, voice over actrice and dreamer. The title I love the most however, is that of Mom! My twin boys are my fountain of youth, and they keep me on my toes!
The songs in Chez Crystal came to me naturally once I started giving "English through song" classes at my children's' school here in Paris. I wanted to make simple songs that also had great melodies and harmonies. I also wanted to incorporate French words (mostly direct translations) into these songs, so those learning the songs would have some sort of point of reference. To my knowledge this hadn't been done before, and was lacking amongst all of the resources found on the internet, especially for Francophone parents and children who had had no prior exposure to the English language.
